Broadband Team

The South Dakota Broadband Team consists of all South Dakota citizens. We need everyone to be involved and help make this project a success. Any individual concerned about broadband and increasing the speed and usage of it within South Dakota is considered part of the team. Here is how you can be part of the team.

The core working group comes from the Bureau of Information and Telecommunications (BIT). As part of the National Broadband Plan they have applied for and received the federal grant to collect information on the availability and use of broadband services in South Dakota under the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s (NTIA) State Broadband Initiative.

A Broadband Advisory Team has been established, made up of a cross section of education, telecommunication businesses, medical community, as well as other business leaders throughout the state. This advisory team provides provide direct feedback to our project team.
